TIME Publishes on Fridays from 07

TIME boldly reinvents their publishing schedule beginning Jan 2007 - shifting the date from Monday to Friday. This move is a bid to enhance reader engagement, redefining the relationship between the reader, the magazine and TIME.com.

The new publication date of the print magazine is part of a greater effort to put more emphasis on TIME.com, enabling a greater coordination with the magazine. This move also gives advertisers an unique opportunity to convey their messages to TIME’s audience before the weekend, when consumers do the large majority of purchasing.

This shift will give TIME a competitive advantage among the news magazines, tapping onto the retail timing and synergy with TIME.com, which may be more favourable with advertisers.
