OK Magazine Fades Out

Catcha Media Group's OK Magazine (Singapore Edition) will cease at its September edition. The title lasted for 9 issues and ran at a loss. Few advertisers supported the magazine and did not wished to be associated with it as it projected an image as a 'celebrity gossip' publication.

The magazine market in Singapore is highly saturated and new titles often do not last beyond a year. Foreign magazines are also widely available. Catcha's 'Four Four Two' also ceased its run in Singapore early 2nd quarter this year. A new magazine 'Arena' (male fashion/lifestyle magazine) will be launched in Nov, the magazine will likely to be more popular with advertisers but will need to see if it can capture enough readers to keep it alive.
