BBC Viewership Ratings Increase

Synovate’s PAX*'s latest figures indicates that BBC World’s viewership ratings have increased significantly among Asia’s business audience.

In the past 2 years, the number of business people in the top management category surveyed by PAX who tuned into the BBC each week and month, has increased by 72% and 58% respectively.

According to a press release, BBC World is the only major news channel to have grown in the original seven PAX markets since the 1990s.

BBC continues to pump efforts to develop its content -- making it relevant and fresh so as to grow and develop regional consumption.

The magazine stands as Asia’s biggest selling English language monthly magazine with an audited circulation of more than 350,000 monthly, primarily through paid subscriptions. 

With regional print media facing strong pressure from digital and mobile solutions, more publications are finding ways to reinvent themselves.
